Leon Joshua Dreischulte is a German photo-
journalist from Göttingen, Lower Saxony and 
based in Leipzig. In February 2025 he will 
present his bachelor thesis at the University of 
Applied Sciences and Arts Hanover in Visual 
Journalism & Documentary Photography. 
His work encompasses the creative examination 
of underrepresented issues as well as his own 
everyday observations. The portrait in the 
broadest sense connects these approaches.

His work has been published by DIE ZEIT, 
Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Neue Zürcher Zeitung, 
Der Freitag und Berliner Zeitung, among others. 

He won the German Youth Photo Prize in 2020, 
and he was a featured artist for the Fresh Eyes 
Photo Talent of Gap Magazine 2022.
